Need something to do with all that milk sitting around? Now Sims can turn the milk from their various livestock animals into cheese wheels that serve various other purposes.

The cheese REQUIRES resources from at least one of each of the following sets:

  • •Livestock: Milk Can from cattle (cows, highland cows, Brahmin), goat, sheep, horse, or halla.
  • •Ultimate Fruit Collection: Lemon Harvest Basket
  • •Butcher’s Stations: Jar of Rennet
  • •Vinegar Fermenting: Single Bottle of Vinegar
  • •Salt Crafting Station: Salt Cellar

The Press
Cheese is produced in a 1:1 ratio and therefore only one of each ingredient is needed to make a single wheel of cheese. The process begins by gathering a Milk Can from a livestock animal, a curdling agent (rennet, lemon basket, or vinegar), and a salt cellar. A sim then requires a cooking skill of X to operate the press. They will combine all three into the press they will then spend a small amount of time pressing the cheese. While doing so a sim with gain cooking skill. An Aging Cheese Wheel Will be produced. The press comes in 6 Pooklet woods, and a volatile base texture is included for recolorists.

Aging Cheese Wheel
This is produced directly into a sim’s inventory. When it is placed in world a timer will start and the wheel will need to age for roughly 3 sim days. A popup will alter to when the aging process is complete and at this time a sim has two options: Serve Cheese Wheel and Save For Later. Doing the former produces an Edible Cheese Wheel and doing the later produces a food point Cheese Wheel. This comes with a total of 7 color options, including invisible for the “top” portion of the cheese cloth.

Cheese Wheel
This is a food point item that is worth 25 food points to stock the fridge or to sell. This comes with a total of 6 color options. Each wheel has a slot so they may be stacked.

Edible Cheese Wheel
This is a serving of cheese meant for sharing. Sims will take an individual cheese wedge from it on a plate and consume it. Serves 12 and when all servings have been taken, it auto-cleans itself up. This item is not recolorable. If a different texture is desired it would have to be default replaced.

Cheese Slicing Knife
A simple task anyone can do in their own home, this is a knife that can be placed on counters to slice up cheese wheels into individual servings.

Cheese Plate Vendor
Sims may purchase a wedge of cheese to eat. This can be directed or autonomous if under a certain hunger level. Has 6 cheese recolors, and X plate options.

Doesn't the game already have fishing? Yes. However the games fishing mechanic can be quite gated. This fishing station is intended to allow a sim to catch a variety of fish based on their body skill rather than their badge skill/season/bait used. Of course all fishers have good days and bad days so they may also pull up some trash or some treasure along with the intended catch.

The fishing spot works independent of the Season's EP structure in regards to fishing. Sims can catch any fish in any season with any bait, provided a sim has the correct body skill to catch that kind of fish. No fishing badges are required. Fishing holes do not freeze in winter because ice fishing is a real thing and viable food source. Sims will continue to fish until they run out of bait, their motives drop, or the action is canceled. Children through elders may fish at fishing hole, as may visitors to a lot. Multiple sims can fish at one fishing spot. They can be found in Hobbies > Recreation for 0.

Sims can catch one of 10 items from the fishing hole. These include all of the Maxis Fish (Blue Catfish, Jumbo Blue Catfish, Golden Trout, Rainbow Trout, Jumbo Rainbow Trout, Large Mouth Bass, Jumbo Large Mouth Bass), a Boot, a Coin Pouch, and a Treasure Chest. Each fish can be stocked in the fridge for food points, sold for profit, or saved for use in another crafting station. Trash and treasure items can be sold for profit or disposed of. How are the Sun&Moon fish different from the game fish? They have all been assigned different food point based on size and rarity.

The Fishing Catches are as follows:

• 0-3 Body Skill = Boots, Largemouth Bass

• 4-7 Body Skill = Lower chances of previous rewards, Blue Catfish, Rainbow Trout, Coin Pouch.

• 8-10 Body Skill = Lower chances of previous rewards, Jumbo Largemouth Bass, Jumbo Blue Catfish, Golden Trout, Treasure Chest.

To catch fish at the fishing spot, a sim must first acquire worm bait. Worm bait can be obtained by looking under rocks and digging in the dirt. Bait can be dug up by children through elders. They can dig for 1, 5, 10, or 20 worms at a time. Each cast of the rod requires a worm. If a sim catches a boot, coin pouch, or treasure chest they get to reuse their worm. The Bait Rock can be found in Hobbies > Recreation for 0 and comes with an invisible recolor.

 Autonomous Fishing

If a sim has a Fishing Rod and Worm Bait in their inventory, they can autonomously fish at any fishing spot. The auto-rod can be found in Hobbies > Recreation for $15.

Pole Sets

Only one style of pole may be used with fishing holes. Provided are two sets, and you must only pick one and delete the other set.

Fish Fillet Knife

Using this fish filleting knife, a sim can cut up any fish into equal serving fillet portions. Regular fish general 6 portions (three per side of the fish) and Jumbo/Golden versions grand an additional portion per side for 8 portions. These count as food points and may be sold or used in recipes, has a white fish recolor. It can be found in Appliances > Small Appliances for $10.

Packing Stand and Empty Crates Converters

Using either the fish stand or the crate converters, Sims can convert 12 of any type of fish into a crate of fish. Each crate is worth 25 food points to stock fridges with. Alternately the crates themselves can be unpacked once more into 12 individual fish.

Ice Fishing Hole

This is a deco item that can be placed with a Fishing Spot to create an ice fishing feel. Place this 3 tiles in front of and 1 tiles to the right of the fishing spot and sims will look as if they are pulling fish out of the ice hole. (May get wonky looking if more than one sim wants to fish as any joining sims will not line up with the deco). Find it in Hobbies > Recreation for 0.

Fishing Rod Rack

A rack to hold inventory fishing rods when not in use or for sale in shops. Each rack holds 3 rods, can be shifted with AL and comes in 6 select Pooklet colors. Can be found in Surfaces > Shelves for $5.

Fishing Crate Display

This probably looks familiar. Despite it being the mesh and texture from Beos’ Innsmouth set, it has all been tweaked. Now when a crate is placed on the display and the M key pressed, the crate will rotate to properly sit on the display. Can be found in Surfaces > Shelves for $5. Has the original color, dannimaree’s recolors, and some additional new Pooklet shades.
